Tone-on-tone can look great. Ie. I lighter version of the roof colour. Or go for bright white and use the same green on window trims and door. You could also go with a darker grey-green with roof green trims and a bright blue door. Something that really pops.
Cream always looks good with green, maintain the same green for windows & door. Having said that you can choose any colour by repainting the gutters & fascia etc. Get lots of colour swatches & hold them up to the roof (from a distance) to see what looks best to you. Then get some sample pots & paint so you get the proper effect of the end result. Look around at other painted homes & magazines etc, to get an idea of what you really like.
I'm for half strength of the same colour that is on the roof and use the roof colour for window and door trims. Then put a bit of stain on the verandah and some small plants in the planter box and it will look like a lovely cottage.
