Hi jtoot222 Assuming you enter at the short side I would lay the tiles along the 7340 wall at both end tiles 420mm and all others 500 mm. The other direction you start at both sides with 557 mm tiles and then 4 rows of 1m. That way the cut tiles have a good size and the room will appear more square. BUT, there are 2 aspects I would take into consideration when designing the layout: 1. where is your furniture (an area where you can fudge (hide small cut tiles) IF you have several entries and are particular about starting at the entry with a full tile. This is only advisable if you are sure the cut edge is permanently hidden from view! AND 2. the main entry / vista into the room. If it's NOT along the short wall, i.e. you don't mainly look into the longer depth of your room, then you might prefer laying the tiles in the other direction. (670 , 6 x 1000, 670 along long wall & 257, 9 x 500, 257 along short wall). I personally prefer to look at tiles perpendicular/ cross-ways, which by the way, might be the reason why the next 'houzzer' doesn't like his tiles in the long hallway. They enhance the length. Hi Ellie These are beautiful tile choices and I have used these in my projects too. The decision to stack or brick pattern is a personal preference. Perhaps the style you are trying to achieve in the rest of your home could be your guide. I agree with above comments that stacked is more modern, brick a bit more rustic especially with these tiles as they have a handmade look with a wavey edge. I would definitely do both the kitchen and the pantry the same pattern or it could look like it wasnt a considered decision. Best wishes.

I solved overspray issues by installing a 33"x72" glass bifold door on the A wall as a splashguard. It folds out to shower and returns flat against the wall, almost invisible, preserving the walk-in shower look and protecting my copper tub. There is a 33" small metal rail on the floor, and the glass doors can be folded flat on the wall in either direction into a compact 15" space. Very inexpensive....won't affect where you place the mixer, recommend a temperature controlled feature so the temp is just right when you enter.

From our recent projects, we can see that fewer people are tiling or using the same material all over the walls in bathrooms. Your options would be: - Add similar coloured tile to the paint in the bathroom to only add texture while keeping the colour scheme the same. - Or to Contrast and make either the paint stand out or the tile, like some of the photos you've attached. - However the above two options are not relevant if the rest of your bathrooms are all tiled and therefore the guest bathroom might stand out or look very different to the rest of your home. In this case, you should listen to your tilers' advice. From projects, we have been part of, it is all about consistency that makes space/design look seamless.
