Advice on direction of loose lay planks for very long, narrow room
Comments (1)Nicole, you are absolutely correct, in your case definitely NOT lengthways, it will look like a corridor!... laying them across or crossways (if that makes sense, you know what I mean) is the right thing to do... good instincts ;)...See MoreStudio floor is concrete, help!
Comments (9)A lot of tradespeople like welders, cabinetmakers, etc. are on their feet all day on concrete so I don't think thats the real issue. It isn't the prettiest space at the moment thats for sure. I'd polish the concrete. This will really make a great spot as paint may just wipe straight up if some gets spilt. If the polishing is too expensive a pressure clean and then a satin clear seller will look great. An alternative would be a marmoleum type of floor covering if you really hate the concrete. Look at 'Forbo'. Sixties beach shack..... I'm jealous by just hearing those words.........See MoreKarndean flooring huge mistake
Comments (20)I’m so frustrated. I have the exact same problem except my rep says HE HAS NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE. I’m just heartsick I wasted so much money on this floor. It started with big gapping problems right away, and what seemed like the finish coming off, and it looking dirty and footprints etc. It took about 14 months to get the claim back and Karndean said the installer “misrepresented” what underpayment was used. I also found out -14 months after my initial claim-that the dirty scuff marks was not part of my original claim. They say I have to make a new claim even though Jeremy the Karndean rep discussed the appearance with the distributor, Tri States flooring. No one let me look at the claim to make sure it has all the information. I am also not allowed to see any factory test results or any other type of information pertinent to my claim. They just tell me everything checked out on their end and it is my housekeeping skills that have caused a film to develop on my floor. I have only used their products or water and Norwex cloths. It is very disheartening to constantly have a dirty scruffy looking floor in a beautiful new kitchen I have waited my whole life floor. I truly regret not reading the reviews , I regret not using a real wood or ceramic product. For buying top of the line products I got factory seconds....See MoreWhat can I do to update tv area instead of just plants?
Comments (78)As you guessed , I just express my opinion . Some agree , some don't . Some houses which I have sold 20 years ago are still in the same decor , other people may not have purchased . I prefer a planned colour pallette and something that has a Wow , and I definitely won't have the same colour walls and ceilings all through a property . Some fast food restaurants do have the same colour all the way through , but even they tend to have white ceilings or similar . I do have a ( small ) stainless deep fryer that does great chips though ! As far as texture goes , I 100% guarantee I would have more texture than this house , to use the obvious comparison . That is why , if you go back up to my original post , I suggested a feature wall of wallpaper , and a painting -- texture and colour . I don't like grey or beige as primary colours , and in fact don't consider them pastels either , but thats pointless arguing semantics . I wouldn't have that combo , the OP would -- good on her . If houzz only had people that agree , it may be very boring ....See Morebargainhunter
