What to put on light carpet?
Comments (8)Looks like a small space. Gray lest her with chrome legs sofa 2 sestertius. Think scale. Place sofa to look at view or a TV.? Not sure what room is used for? Get 2 swivel chairs in a fabric print. Yellow and gray works. No rug over rug. Never lays right. A black small 20" round metal coffee table. Lamps in stainless with white shades with end tables buy sofa. If TV a long low media in black or white. Ikea, go there for all your needs. Good price, and some great art. There is the London underground 40" for over sofa. Hang all art 6-7" above top of furn. Keep it low, clean sleek lines. Not too big. On windows gray and white print panels on ends of windows only. Ikea. Hang on a black rod. They should touch the floor. Accessories on coffee and other tables. Tall pots in black, grey, yellow. Teal, or blue green works with gray also. Keep sofa always a solid color and chairs can be a contemporary design. Use only one accent color in a small room. Carry same accents to other rooms to tie together....See MoreWhat style of tile would look good with wooden floorboards?
Comments (2)Hi Eva. I am doing a reno and also looking at the same thing! I have found the Cavalier Bremworth at Carpet Court and really like it. It has a texture which picks up the colors around it and it's softer against the wood and tiles than other carpets I've seen. The attached pic is the colour Legato which is a mid range colour, but there are darker browns or greys and a lighter one too I think. The pic doesn't do it justice, but it really is lovely and worth a look. Good luck!...See MorePOLL: Have your pets influenced your home improvement 'style?'
Comments (6)We have two cats that are indoor pets. Sadly the male took a jaunt outside and got a few sctratches and tears from a large neighbour cat. He began territorial peeing on any cushion, stray coat, laundry basket, no matter it was on top of a piano or speaker or even a bed. Our piano varnish ruined, so very much washing.. (Thank God for Nature's Miracle). Now we have to keep him incarcerated in the laundry area which has an enclosed porch and cat tree and so forth. He comes in for supervised visits and we take him outside every other day to run and play. When we move we will be planning an area specifically for him. It's so sad as we never would treat him like this if he could break the habit, but we've tried everything and he's hooked like an addict. He isn't as happy as he used to be....See MoreWhat style house?
Comments (1)Hi Calvin These are very common across the inner city areas of the Perth metro area. This is a 1920's 'Cottage' home. Plenty are being renovated because of the workmanship, especially the floors with native 'Western Australian' Jarrah floors virtually impossible to replicate in 2018 as old growth forrest logging has been banned and it's not a cheap piece of plank to get your hands on. Many whom purchased these homes actually covered these floors with vinyl and carpet during the 60's, 70's and 80's, but in the last 10 to 20 years many have realised their beauty and value ripped up the floor coverings, restored the original floors and these properties are in high demand as many have been bulldozed for more modern, larger homes. BEFORE AFTER Thanks Paul...See MoreSuzanne Rufo
