The next time I decorate by a colour of the year will be the first time. Don't hold your breath. I have nothing against this particular colour but it doesn't work with all the things I've collected over the years, and I am not about to discard carpets bought after hard bargaining with dubious merchants in Istanbul or Islamabad because they don't "go" with a paint colour that someone voted "colour of the year." In its place, I think the colour would be quite nice (better than this years choices, certainly). It's just that my place isn't the right place for it.

Without looking at the job I'd presume the reveals aren't the correct size. Can you post a picture or two, inside and out? I also would have used timber again rather than aluminium. Timber is still the first choice when it comes to windows, depending on the situation and circumstances.

Usually the crank, winder, and chain for window winders are sold as a single item. I have never seen the crank handle sold separately as a component. You would be best to visit demolition and salvage yards to see if you can find matching hardware, such as Hughes, if you are in Melbourne.
