Comments (4)I'd show the builders your preferred design. Then ask them what is the extra cost's needed for tiles, lighting, removing the mirror and installing the stand alone one, etc. Definitely extra tiles needed though. I wouldn't add a plant or anything I'd chase up the mirror you really want. The top powder room look great doesn't it. Simple but classy....See MoreBathroom floor tile colour - pls help!
Comments (36)Hi Kirsty, could you please advise the colour of your vanity and whether it is a custom made one and if not, could you let me know its name and where you bought it. Also, what is the colour of your floors tiles and where did you get them from. (I have come to the conclusion that charcoal/dark grey tile plus a much lighter grey tile plus white on some walls plus a timber vanity or timber accessories in bathroom , plus white (or close to it) below sink counter top is the way to go for a beautiful bathroom. The trick is figuring out exactly what proportion of each colour to use and where to put them for each particular layout....See MorePowder room decor
Comments (24)Is the ceiling cavity above the bathroom available or does it have living space or similar above it? If it is free I would most certainly recommend a "solar tube" type solution - that is going to full your room with natural light during the day. As you have rectangular tiles that are off centre from the vanity, I would go with a large square mirror with a silver frame and I love the back lighting of the mirror as was suggested by another person but is this possible now that you have completed your tiling. Alternatively you may wish to go with a cabinet / mirror to allow for more storage of smaller bathroom items that you use daily....See Morebest powder room layout- urgent advice!!
Comments (19)What height does the window start? You need to make sure that there will be enough height for a mirror so that a tall person can see their head in the mirror. We had a similar dilemma wth a window above the vanity but the window is quite high. Here is a pic....... I like the vanity under the window if height allows with the toilet to the right as you walk in....See MoreHappy Home
