Like the lamp although the shade could be bigger, I had to change it on my lamp for a more substantial one, generally the base of the shade should match the size of the base of the lamp or more. The plant you have on the other console need lots of water don't let it dry out. I was thinking of your mirror choice and I think the round one would be better . Keep looking.

They all look good, but it all comes down to clearance. How low is your ceiling? How tall is your tallest visitor? How long is the light fitting? Will the light fitting look good if it is close to the ceiling, or will it look cramped and foreshortened? When I moved into my current home (with a taller ceiling than yours), I got an electrician to hang a row of pendants down the length of the hallway so they would be 5 cm taller than my family's Uncle Colin (who was by far the tallest regular visitor). Now twelve years later, Uncle Colin has passed, and my little boy (who was six years old when the pendants were hung) has grown to be 192 centimetres (6'6") and needs to duck everytime he goes to his bedroom. Your could install an offset pendant. Draping the wiring over a fixture in ceiling to make the pendant central.

I agree with Kate regarding rectangular shape and placement of table. This gives you easiest access to outside and other rooms as well as the opportunity to have a buffet, hutch or console for storage along the wall furthest from the kitchen. I have a square dining room too and always thought it would be great to have square table in it... until I did! While it suited the dimensions of the room, including a buffet never looked quite right. As an 8 seater it was difficult to have 6 for dinner without it looking weird- either one empty side or two empty seats. Square rugs are also much harder to find so you have less choice there too. After about 10 years of having that table we are renovating and I now have a rectangular table and buffet. It is much more versatile with seating as we can fit 8, 6 or 4 easily just by moving/removing chairs. We have a single pendant above it that ties in with the adjacent kitchen colours.
