Need ideas for small kitchen, dining, living room area at snow
Comments (6)Thank you Tilda :) So we have an artist called Geoff Winckle, he paints beautiful landscapes and has some pieces which have an alpine feel. I have have attached one called 'Afternoon Snowscape'. I think the warm tones in this piece would complement the cooler tone it sounds like you have chosen for your walls. I've also included 'Sunset over Rocks-Mt Wellington, Tasmania' by Jacqui Cleijne. As far as deer go I have attached a piece called 'The Messanger' by our new featured artist Jason Moad....See MoreIdeas for my living room
Comments (16)Love some of your furniture Dave. Maybe the large mirrored dresser could move to the wall with the clock and tv. The lounge could spin so it's back was facing the large window ( but not up against it). The chair could stay where it is, just moved to the right of the door, and the Tv, cabinet and clock could move to the wall where the large mirrored dresser is now....See MoreNeed help with living room interior ideas!
Comments (27)Alright .... so here is another sample rug for trial ... hubby really likes these kind of patterns and thought of giving it a shot ... what do you guys think? I am thinking to take away the yellow gumball as Oskuee said ... once the rug is finalised, will get cushions .. P.S Ignore my leopard print throw! its toooo cold now .. Brrrrr... and it is quite not possible to swap positions as i would need to pull down a TV cable and also its a large L-SHAPE door behind the sofa ... i really need to change my interior lights as well ... makes the place look very dull!...See MoreHelp! Comments (11)The right coffee table, throw and wall art are not going to be enough to disguise the fact that you have downsized from a much larger home with your large, dark, formal furniture that dominates a compact room. Have you considered moving pieces to other rooms, or selling it, and buying clean-lined, contemporary style furniture off eBay? This style will fit the proportions of your room, and make it easier to live with your dust free strategy. The beauty of second-hand furniture is that when you can afford to upgrade you can sell it again on eBay. and recover your costs. Never paint perfectly good pieces of timber furniture as it will devalue the pieces. Sell them as is, somebody will cherish them as they are. I would keep the couch, decide on the tone of your new timber floor, and use these two elements to decide on the rest of your colour scheme. Your celing fan/light is also a distraction, so replace with something sleek and contemporary that is not such a feature. Your room layout is problemmatic with the number of doors coming into the room, but it is hard to suggest a better stategy without a floorplan.
