When I was married, and we both left for work at the same time, two would have been good in the ensuite, but we had a 2nd bathroom so I used to go to that one. I used to clean houses and many of the houses had two basins in their 3 bathrooms! Pain in the butt to clean all of them!

We've ended up choosing Yokor Windows & Doors. They're a Chinese import company with very high quality product. A builder friend of mine recommend him who used them in his own house. We are yet to order though. They were about 8k cheaper than The other company we were tossing up between. The only issue i don't like their flyscreen product so we'll get that from someone else.

Hi Bianca, I have just seen your post. I personally think the best answer to your question will depend on a few other considerations because it really depends on the kitchen layout as a whole. Considerations may include; how will this affect the work flow in your Kitchen and what are the alternative positions available to you? Importantly; how big is your island going to be; an Island can be a great space for food preparation, meal plating, as well as the island being a social space for family as well as when entertaining. When placing the Sink in an island you may consider a sink also needs adequate additional space each side of it for the various functions it is used for; whereby placing a sink in a small Island can sometimes take away from the other benefits it provides. There is actually no clear yes or no answer, but to consider your Kitchen layout, appliance placements and its work flow as a whole. With the other things you have already mentioned here, I hope this extra helps in your decision process.

I have the Blanco Clarion sink with drainer tray. I had it overmounted and I absolutely love it! I’ve had this sink for 2.5 years now. It’s so easy to wipe down and keep clean. No mouldy edges because it is so flush against my wooden bench top. I am renovating my kitchen later this year. I plan to keep my Blanco sink overmounted over my new stone bench top as it will also help to prevent the stone edges from chipping around the sink, a problem you may encounter if you undermount the sink instead. It still looks great overmounted too. I imagine you could still use this sink with laminate bench tops if you overmount the sink because my plumber had put a stack load of silicone all along the perimeter of the flat edge of the sink where it sits on top of the bench top. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and my sink gets a real workout. My sink was costly (costs a lot more than standard sinks) but I’ve never regretted spending that money.
