Herringbone floor

hi, we are planning on changing our carpet in the apartment to floating floorboards. Any suggestions if they can be laid out in herringbone pattern?
Also any ideas on costings?

Impossible.

The tongue and groove system on the herringbone is specifically designed for herringbone only. Installing normal floorboards to a herringbone pattern has no way of locking all floors together.

I have wood floors in our bathroom. Have had for a good while. Kids are now four and six. There is one spot in the corner that gets very water logged from bath. It's about 1cm wide and I need to pull off skirting and sand and seal. It's the second wood bathroom I've had but it's hardwood planks on joists not herringbone on a substrate.

Inexpensive, speak to Boral timbers who have parquetry line in a variety of timber species at varying price brackets. As for suggestions of vinyl or tile - do it properly and honestly or don't do it. I don't understand the obsession with "looks like wood" when you can use the real thing which gives all the warmth and tactility not available with the alternatives, much like buying forgery furniture from the numerous retailers - save up, buy the real thing, and appreciate it for a lifetime.
