The girls agree with you. They like the path shot, and I think we can have the pair of this pic blown up and framed. They also wanted a bit of family, so I found three similar shoulder on head shots, of the girls with their father, grandmother and then an old pic of their father as a child with his mother. The poses are similar, and I think I would frame them and put them along the top.

Does this wall need a mural, some artwork, some vertical timber panelling behind the TV to the ceiling? I would love some help!

What did you want the void for? It's additional space to heat/cool and it sounds as if it's a dilemma for you rather than something you had a vision for? Is the house based on a builders display home? If so, how was it presented? Sometimes multiheight walls and voids can allow a particularly large artwork to be displayed and it can look amazing if you get the proportions right. But if you have the tv below that might not work for you. I think overdoing the furniture and decor on a soaring wall can end up looking cluttered and kitsch. There's nothing wrong with an empty wall, the architecture itself is the feature not the decorative spacefillers. Mirrors make me wonder about the windows on the left and the light as unless carefully planned you could end up with unwelcome reflections and glare. You could enhance the wall with colour or pattern. But the whole wall. I agree with K s. Do not visually cut the wall in half.

I like Sue’s wallpaper idea, or you could try something structural. The metal ring screenshot doesn’t do it justice, I’m sorry, but I’ve seen something like it irl, and it looked great. You could do something similar with plates/hats/your collectibles… Google search the wavy wall, if that interests you, as there are companies that create the material they’re made from. The timber wall could be as fancy as this one, or even a diy with battens, planking or even timber trim. You could use finely sliced stone, too. And depending on space, narrow floating shelves would also look great. Good luck
