Teddy bears! I am into frogs …. does anyone know of froggy chairs I could use on my camping trips? My most comfortable chair was a $39.95 fake leather recliner, purchased at Montgomery Wards in 1966 when my husband was convalescing from surgery. Recovered twice, new springs the 2nd time. In 2006, I arrived home from work and sank gratefully into this now 'vintage' chair and it gracefully, though noisily, collapsed. Springs, nuts, bolts, shredded innards, and me - scattered all over the living room! So I splurged on a frighteningly expensive modern chair, the second most comfy chair I have had. 6 years later the footrest refused to support my size 7 bare feet. A bolt had sheared off, and the mechanism could not be repaired. Enter the 3rd most comfy, an Ikea Poang, covered with a blanket while awaiting a custom made slip cover. By now, I have accumulated 74 years of aches and pains that often awake me at night; I crawl to the Poang, and snooze happily 'til morning. Luxaflex Silhouette blinds would be a great option for you, you get complete privacy at night but have the option of privacy during the day as well while allowing full light. Unfortunately, they are also VERY expensive. Although you want to roll the blinds totally out of the way during the day have you considered the aspect of your rooms? Rooms facing East will have morning sun pouring in which can be very glary even in winter and of course rooms facing West will have all the hot afternoon sun making your rooms like ovens. Rooms facing North will have the sun in winter which of course is not at all unpleasant. As well you need to consider sun damage to your furniture and furnishings. Taking that into account, I think a normal block out roller blind would work well and maybe a double blind with mesh where sun might be a problem. There is a blind company I can highly recommend located on the Gold Coast but I'm not sure if they service Brisbane - No Bull Blinds. I had no trouble with their blinds at all and their service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble. You are getting close to Christmas now so you may find many companies are closing their books for pre-Christmas orders.

Hi squirrel30. I ended up, on a professional's advice, having the whole bathroom stripped and redone. It actually worked out cheaper than any of the seemingly more innovative solutions. It seemed a shame to discard a lot of stuff that was in good order, but to get the result we wanted it proved the best approach and I'm delighted with the result. We had the floor pulled up and replaced with 600 x 600 textured grey tiles and 900 wide tiles in the shower with a grate at the end so in a very, very large shower we have only 3 grout lines and they are dark grey. We used slab tiles on the walls in the shower with dark grey grouting and 600 x 600 tiles elsewhere. Again resulting in very few grout lines, and no glass at all! I'm still interested to know more about microcement but I can't get anyone to answer inquiries. I've responded to a dozen or so ads but nobody has ever bothered to contact me. Not sure I would trust a supplier who is that disinterested in potential customers!!

I'm wondering what exactly you mean too? Is it a floor on the roof of the building, since you say penthouse? Low traffic so it's not a patio or anything like that? Is it a roof of a lower level of the building visible outside the penthouse windows perhaps? Please do post a picture. What's wrong with the tiles? Regarding waterproofing, presumably there is proper waterproofing underneath the tiles? I have heard some horror stories. Last thing you want is to be pulling up multiple layers to fix an underlying problem.
