Hi everyone, My devils ivy is showing black/brown little tiny spots and dry brown spots in the middle of the leaves. Can anyone help me with my ivy? What's wrong and what's the advice on how to treat it. Thanks so much guys Myra
Thanks hayley! I appreciate it! There are about 5 leaves looking like that but the new growth are fine and don't have the dots.. Some people told me to cut the "infected" leaves off but its kinda sad because the one that are "infected" are the larger one!
Hi Myra, Have you checked that the soil is not too damp and that it is free draining and not waterlogged, leave until touch dry before watering, try not to splash the leaves , maybe take a leaf to your local nursery for advice as to what’s causing the spots, best of luck.
Hi Julie, Thanks so much for your respond. The ivy is currently on a plastic pot with good drainage on the bottom, it hasnt root bound or anything like that and it's not damp..i got a suggestion from a professional who said that devils ivy did hv this condition every now and then and i just need to cut the affected leaves. I did cut it off but just curious as to what happened.. So maybe I'll go to the botanical garden or nursery to get more answers! Thanks so much julie
I have the same problem but I believe it was caused by a pesticide that I had sprayed the plant with days before... did you find out what was in your case? I might be wrong about mine
