Ah but cloudpants what are you making it real in comparison with? Who's to say that not painting them wouldn't look far better? Before you say anything....I made no comment either way...and yes it does look really good!

Hi I recently painted a small fibro house and I recommend not going too dark with the colour if is a smaller place as it looks. I chose an ochre colour and it was too heavy for the cheap, light material. Still, I kind of liked it as it warmed it up a bit, given it was in a dense, wet foliage. If I did it again I would choose cream. No offence to the other contributors, I like grey, but I wouldn't do this kind of house in grey. Grey looks good when the materials are good quality, but can look jail cell if not. If you like grey, I suggest a very pale grey. Cladding might really help as Sarah H suggested, it can be a little depressing to come home to such unprotecting looking exterior. I would do the lattice at the bottom a darker colour to 'ground' the house.

Hi Erin Both look like they will work. I think your challenge will be to bring some depth to the front of the house . With the colour being uniform its quite flat, so I would suggest adding some awnings to the front windows. These could also be a nice feature on the front of the house adding your personality. http://www.icietla.com.au in Brisbane sell some beautiful stripes. The other option was to have a base and top scheme that helped the building look a little lighter. A great transformation which ever way you go.

Dear Creatively Challenged , I can recommend Dulux Colour Consultants, I gave up after about 5 sample pots . At the time it cost me $150 and if I used dulux paints I could claim a full refund . That was 12 years ago . I didn’t realise at the time just how good they were , the colours are still in fashion but it’s ready for another paint job for sure. It was such a relief to have someone in who is trained and fully understands colours and fashion and what goes with what . I finally stopped stressing about it and got the job done ✅
