External wall colour to match Woodland Grey gutters/fascia
Comments (13)@jactheshe, it would be very hard to imagine. Even digital photos of the colours together can look so different. And depending on how your house is situated & how the light plays on it, that changes things again. I was looking at a picture online of a house using woodland grey with colorbond dune. The dune colour looked completely different to the colour card on the charts. If you have some large lightweight boards around, I suggest painting them out with colours you're considering. Or getting a large sheet of foam core from office supplies or sign companies and using that. It would be light enough to attach temporarily on the facade & give a better idea of which colour works. That way the angle how the light hits the colour is accurate....See MoreURGENT!! Advice on External Colors please !!
Comments (10)Thanks for your reply, much appreciated ! Is monument for Windows really black, the same as the roof or is it like a dark grey? I have seen photos of monument Windows & in some pics it looks dark grey but the. monument on the roof looks black? I am having the same window color throughout the house & not keen on monument if it's more a dark grey. I'm having feature walls in domino so would prefer black Windows & black hexagon Mosaic tiles for splash back, sublime teak cabinetry Windows. Comments (19)I would recommend changing the colour of the window frames and the roof trims (including the one above the car port) to something more colorful, but still subtle. Like a soft, grey-ish blue, this wont be to different from your original selection, but will add some contrast and nicely underline the features of the house. Also soft blues look great with yellow and will work well with your colour selection for the door. I think the white you chose will look lovely on the may of the house and the fence. But if you find a white fence to boring you could brighten it up by painting it in the same colour as the windows. I agree with the other comments in regards to the bush covering your veranda, it might be worth at least trimming it or replacing it with something more suited for the area. You can also paint a few different sized pots in the same yellow of the door and arrange them along your fence line to tie the colour theme together. I hoped that helped and gave you some ideas, I've added pictures of the kind of blues I had in mind, obviously you can always go for a half tone if you find full to intense....See MoreAdvice on external laundry door.
Comments (11)agree with bigreader ...the slidingglass doors look good in the exhibition homes but the space between the sliding door and the last cabinet or washer will be awkward to keep clean and a great place for lost sox but it depends on the size of the laundry...if there's enough space for the cabinetry to go right up to the external wall as well as having a sliding glass door that can avoid the odd gap but need the room will need to be at least 2.5m deep and how do you create privacy for the sliding door?...i prefer a hinged glass door and small window for light and ventilation without exposing all my laundry mess to the world and simple venetians maintain light and privacy...See Moreh101
