If you are having a dishwasher installed, I really cannot see the need for two drainers. I needed to maximise on my bench space so I chose an Abey sink with 2 different sized bowls that came with a separate draining board, basket and chopping board. The draining board can sit on the bench when I need it, or can sit over the larger bowl and drain into the smaller one. Alternatively, the basket fits into the large sink if I want to leave anything to drain, but clear the bench top. The chopping board was a bonus that also fits over the sink bowls. Did u actually pick the colour from a colour card and agreed on that with the kitchen company? If so, have u still got the colour card? If so, put the card up against you cupboards in the (daytime) and then again in the (evening), when not a lot of light is reflecting. Paint always looks different on walls etc than they do on the colour card. It depends on the lighting in the room. The colour of the walls or floor throw off reflections, so can actually make the colour seem different. 1/.. If this is what's happened, your stuck with the colour.Your just looking at a bland kitchen and only the paint colour is in your face. So stands out alone. But honestly, wait till all the kitchen is finished and furnished ect, as you will find the colour won't affect you as much. 2/.. If it's not the colour you chose, and you can prove it, you can either get them to give u a big discount or have them re do it. It's that simple. I'm sure you'll find that once all is completed, it will be fine.

Oh excellent, thank you, it looks lovely! I have been to many of the suppliers but QQ is too far away for me with a screaming baby in the car and they won't mail me samples! Once I choose a stone mason I will view them in person because I hear even with Quartz each slab can be a little different. I was thinking maybe Lexicon quarter...warmed up a bit...but I'm not sure. Thanks for the warning, I do have time on my side so I might go get some sample pots and see what actually looks ok with our lighting.

Hi Tash, I would stick with the white paint. You have noted you want timber, marble, grey, white and brass in the space and I feel that if you now add a colour to the walls that doesn't blend with the tiles that sit on the same wall there will be too many finishes in the space. Quite a few manufacturers have tiles similar to the one in your image so I'd check with your local supplier. If you do go with the subway tiles perhaps look for a handmade style tile and lay them as a herringbone style with white grout to get the same textural look you are after. Good luck! Regards, Kathryn.
