Photo's would be super handy , but as a general rule I wouldn't do skirtings and doors in a similar tone to your walls . Unless you are a kindergarten , you wouldn't do red doors and yellow skirtings with blue walls , but my attitude is that anything that adds to a room along your desired theme is good ! I take it your doors are plain -- even in rental properties of mine , I have changed plain flat doors to ones with 3 or 4 panels , and painted them stark white against painted or wallpapered walls . Half a dozen doors like that are around $1000 , a solid timber front door in a similar style $400-500 -- suddenly , the tenants think I am looking after them ( generally it's done between tenancies , but you know what I mean ) . If it's your own place , even moreso .

I would just paint the same colour but in a semi gloss

Hello, I am currently doing a laundry rennovation and want to keep the tiles. Can anyone help me or if you have any suggestions for the best paint colour for our small laundry. The cabinets are all white from ikea, benchtop is a light grey concrete ekbacken. Thank you for your help.

Disclaimer -- I hate grey with a vengance . So i may be biased . But if you scroll up , and get the 'luxury planking' at the top of your screen , and the Perfect Boredom at the bottom ( the heading thing cuts through the middle ) it looks horrible IMO . In the middle photo , the darker timber and the white actually makes the grey almost acceptible as a base , but look at the other pics , and even the floor is looking as grey as a corpse with all the colour washed out .
