I have loved our deep leather lounge for the same reasons that many have stated above. You literally "lounge" and when I had a shoulder operation it was the perfect bed for recuperation, giving my shoulder support while, at the same time, giving me a comfortable and easy sleep. However, as I have aged, and also due to my small stature, I am finding that my back begins to ache because the back of the lounge does not support my back firmly enough and my feet don't touch the ground. I am now looking at a smaller, upright and supportive type of lounge. I do have a couple of chairs that fit this but it means that I am not sitting cuddled up to my husband.

2 sofas look great when you are needed extra seating for people but i really like the armchair /wingchair idea with a sofa. As you have chosen a modern take on deco i would look at a side table that encumpases that style but as said functionality is key. No good having one sofa if you have 5 guests. It sounds so beautiful so keep moving with your ideas and remember that sometimes ideas can change with different advise but you have to love it

Hi Katrina, Overall the sofa looks just too big, even though essentially it fits on paper. It would be better to go with a 2800 L shaped sofa with chaise and have the chaise side running by the wall so it's a bit more open as you walk in. And if you make the chaise 1600/1700 then you have more room to pull the sofa a bit closer to the TV and make space for your dining table behind. Or pop the chaise on the side closer to the kitchen then you may have room for an occasional chair on other side by the window. Does this make sense?

Our tv is quite large probably about 50 inches, and this is the flooring and the room (not my furniture in the picture) Do you think I could have the beige couch with some white and brown cushions maybe, and then have a white tv unit and a wood coffee table of some sort with a white/brown or white/cream rug and lots of plants or will this look too busy? I’m not very good at putting these kinds of colours together- more of a grey kind of girl but we have the cream couch already!
