I'd offer a variation -- like bigreader , I like the brick/roof/surfmist combo , but my worry is that with the 2 lighter colours ( roof and 2/3rds of the exterior ) , it will look pretty boring , so i'd go Monument windows and a cedar or similar garage door and entrance door -- you get the contrast of the windows , and the warmth of the wood , to add to it . I like colour , so I'd possibly go one step further , and do the gutters and that trim around the gable in a red , similar or slightly brighter than the predominate red in your brick . I'm not a fan of plainish uprights either , but conversely I suspect if you did your brick up to the same height as you have on the walls ( make a brick base for each column ) , then presumably paint in surfmist from there up , it may look more 1920's than 2020's , so maybe do those columns in a full height cedar stain too ( assuming you do the garage door in that ) or if the budget allows , maybe in a flat horizontal stone ( schist or similar ) , either matching the wall height , or full height ?

​While the ironstone for the window trim would fade into the background more than the surfmist, will you also be painting the inside of the window trims (I am assuming you are painting them vs replacing all windows)? You may want to consider how it looks from the inside too, especially for any windows without window coverings. We have 1980s bronze aluminium windows and while it fades against our brickwork, from the interior it really stands out against our white architraves and walls for the windows without shutters. Whatever you do you window and door trims in make sure your crimsafe is the same.

I think its too dark , too grey , and that the darker tones don't show off the Merbau timber well ( or vice versa ) . Personally , I think either go lighter on the walls ( surfmist or similar ) , keep the monument roof , then a bright colour on the trim and entrance and garage doors -- red , orange or yellow are my favourites , but on your design it may make something nice look a bit too 'slapped together transportable building' , and in fact almost any colour may suffer that fate , so how about a rock look for the base , rather than timber ( whether you are going light or dark or natural , it could look like its just waiting for someone to knock off those base timbers and back a truck under it ) . The other combo that may work would be your darker colours , but have varnished light beech or similar for the base , decks , even the entrance door and garage door ? Basically , someone going to the trouble of varnishing looks more permanent than anything that looks like it is or could have been stained IMO .

Was recently like you with yellow. Have just repainted eighteen year old light white washed look brick house (charcoal roof and black windows) that had all dated classic cream trims - garage, front door, eaves, downpipes, patio ceilings etc which I wanted gone. Go to Bunnings or local paint shop and collect all the little sample swatches that appeal to you. Then in my case I bought Dulux A4 size sheets in colours that I liked. You can then compare the Dulux A4 sheets with other brand colours if you want. When you narrow it down you have the option of buying sample pots. I knew I didn't  want white (too light) cream (too yellow) or beige (too boring.) Finally made a choice in between cream and beige and am very happy. Looks fresh and bright, goes perfectly  with the bricks and no more yellow. As you are painting the full house remember the colour you choose might need to be a shade darker than what you think.
