I struggle to do this confidently in my own home, but those examples are lovely. The first image, the silver chandelier recedes into the white ceiling and in the second image the wallpaper contains both silver and gold tones, so it unifies the metals. It's funny whenever I have a cool toned outfit, my automatic response is to wear silver jewellery but gold always pops more. I think it's the contrast that works in interiors also.

I've just had a similar dilemma trying to decide on how to liven up the boring white bathroom we ended up with thanks to a well known tile supplier mucking up big time. I've hopefully given it some bling by using this ornate frame on some art work. If you don't want a plain edge mirror, you could do something like that?? My frame arrives tomorrow (yay). If you'd like a pic of what it looks like hung on a white wall, feel free to sing out. We ummed and arrred about incorporating a mirrored shaving cabinet into our reno. We did, and it's way more practical than before. Everything is within easy reach. All is hidden and off the benchtop, which makes it neater and so much easier to clean. Most bathroom essentials (like soap, spray cans, toothpaste, razors, lotions etc) fit easily on the 15cm shelves. In fact, the cupboard under the vanity is now virtually empty and there's no kneeling on the floor, digging in the back of it to find stuff! The loo paper fits in a vanity drawer, so it's also out of the way. Bonuses all round. I agree with suggestions to relocate the towel holder (if you can, of course).

with a wall cabinet almost 4 m wide i would expect to have at least 9 doors each over 440mm wide?? and with only 3 doors or even three pairs of doors you would have to step backwards to open the doors and they're much too wide and heavy ...how deep is the vanity below the wall cabinet and is the wall cabinet recessed into the wall or wall mounted?... do you need this much wall storage for medicines and toiletries? combined with storage in the vanity an average wall cabinet 1200 wide (with three doors) should be more than enough for the usual collection for one person ...consider a recessed wall cabinet say 2400 wide with six doors and the balance of the wall with fixed mirrors ..you need to talk to the builder and/or cabinet maker to decide what suits your needs

have a shorter recessed wall cabinet for storage and if necessary have the balance of the space fixed mirror.....you should find something suitable at a fraction of the cost of custom made but strongly suggest that you don't have the vanity hard up against the glass screen (a gap is useful for hanging a hair dryer or hand towel and allows easier access to clean the glass screen) we've been disappointed with custom made vanity and wall cabinets which were more than twice the price and no better quality
