Hi all, Thanks so much in advance for thinking here. We have a house with a slanting ceiling in the main living/dining/kitchen room. For various reasons our council is insisting on the apex (lower) part of the roof be lowered so our large open plan living/kitchen/dining will have a end wall/window that is only 2.1 meters high. That end is the window with a view to bush. And our plans have that entire wall being glass. This then slopes up all the way back to the kitchen (up to 3.6 meters at it's end. The whole room is about 9 metes long.
My question is - do you think your eye will be draw down to the view and will 2.1 meters be too low? My feeling is this will be ok - because it's slanting back up the room will feel bigger than the low end is. have tried to find photos of slanted ceilings that end in short wall windows but can't find exactly our design.
Is that enough info for advice? Thank you so much.
