Hi all our terrazzo bench has been installed and in use for over 12 months. This bench was poured in Italy and then finished by a stonemason off-site type. When 1st installed I spilt some lemon juice which created a mark so we are careful not to use acidic items on the bench. I am not sure if this happened before or after we sealed it but I think it’s important to seal any natural stone product and we used the sellers recommended product called “slow drying sure seal” but I won’t vouch for its effectiveness as I can’t compare it to anything. Over all we love the look but I think you need to be a little more careful around natural products than engineered ones so it may depend on your lifestyle

I'm working on a couple of projects that my clients have asked specifically for terazzo; where stone is needed for the long term durability (bench tops etc) it's a great way of adding texture and/or colour to a space. I look at it as a modern classic with a lively character. Corian, Caesarstone, marble & granite definitely have their place & I still use them extensively; they all have their own distinctive characteristics in terms of look, durability and maintenance that need to be taken into consideration with each individual project.

Although I am a fan of grey and white, the grey tile doesn't appeal to me and I prefer the white floor tile but don't think it would work with your white wall tile as they appear to be 2 different whites from the photo. So if you like the grey, go with it or look for different options.

Timber floorboards may compete with your wonderful ceiling. Terrazzo may be too busy and also compete against your wonderful ceiling. Concrete look MATT, rectified edge, porcelain tiles would be my choice out of the three options. They are a natural warm texture and would look great against a white kitchen and the timber ceiling.
