5 years agoYes, but only if you go with the brand Kartell, who are the world leaders in the plastic production for chairs. There are lots of cheaper imitators to the Kartell brand, but they often don't last the distance suffering from UV damage and brittleness in the long term. Kartell have a great range at a premium price, but when it comes to plastic chairs you get what you pay for. I have a set of four Kartell Ghost chairs which are more than 12 years old and they are still as good as new.
Large family home · More InfoI would start by looking at Kartell's elegant Masters Chair which is destined to become a classic and as you can see from the photo works well with a timber table. As they are light and stackable they are very versatile.

5 years agoWe have these and they’re really comfortable and practical. They clean up easily and can be used outside if you need an extra seat or two for a bbq (but don’t leave them outside). The Eames side chair with Eiffel Tower base. There are other bases. This isn’t our place but it shows them with a coastal vibe. We only have one dining area so we use them for every meal including formal entertaining. We’ve had them for a very long time and they have held up well.

I also second what dr Retro said. Love the Masters Chair. It’s a modern classic. I need four additional chairs for my new place and I’d consider them but I need something stackable.
There are other great plastic chairs out there and they could be perfect for the type of feel you are trying to achieve. But try them out and make sure they’re comfortable. You and your guests could be sitting in them for hours at a time.

Help with leather dining chairs
Comments (5)A similar thing happened to me - a bottle of hand sanitiser exploded in my black leather bag whilst it was laying on my brand new cream leather car seats!!! Soaked through and transferred the black dye from my bag onto the seat, leaving a massive black stain. I tried to remove it gently with leather cleaner, only to find the more I scrubbed, the more I took the cream colour off and started to damage the actual leather of the seat. In the end I took my car to a furniture upholstery place and they colour matched the leather and sprayed the area that was damaged. It looks great now. If you look REALLY hard, you can still see where I took some of the grain out of the leather (too much scrubbing), but otherwise you wouldn't notice - best of all it didn't cost the Earth. I think a small area like what is on your chairs would come up nicely - it would probably cover the ink stains too. I think it's worthwhile getting the job done professionally. Comments (12)It all depends on how much money you would like to spend. As your lounge is dark and your stools and bookcase are also dark I think white chairs would be fine, but then I would change the stools as well and take some white down to the lounge area. However you can buy stretchy covers for this style of chair for around $10 and there is quite a variety, so I would look on line for those to see if you like any of them as that would be a very easy fix....See MoreGarden dining Chairs
