Wish i found this Q &A before. So many beautiful people advising and sharing here! I am Repainting Tropical Queenslander with dark red and orangy timber floors and this thread is so helpful. I painted Whisper white and it is throwing so much Green it makes me so sad I am going to repaint. I get loads of tropical sun in the north facing - with eastern morning sunlight. Was just about to go and buy Natural White just to cover it. Do you think it will be too dull/warm a colour. I do like a fresh feel and contrasting with vivid white decorative trims. The whisper white looks nice For a while in the morning while the morning sunlight throws read up onto it but then it returns to a green

Hi Sarah, We love where you're going with your design planning! Fresh Concrete is certainly a stunning colour & design, however, as it is a matt-textured finish, maybe consider finding cabnitery that is a semi-gloss or gloss finish and then consider offset cabinetry timber finish. the plan looks great but not sure if you want/need a microwave or rangehood so my suggestions include wider under bench cabinet into the left hand void space with the 30cm door, assume an under bench oven, a microwave could be 30cm above the counter under the right hand wall cabinet, space under the microwave for toaster and kettle, wall cabinets to at least the top of the windows and deep enough to reach the edge of the architrave around the window (the extra 2-3cms depth makes a big difference for tight storage, cook top parallel and towards the front off centred along the counter allows for above cooktop wall cabinets 60cm tall with 140 deep open shelf and optional range hood fridge with microwave and wall cabinets oven with open shelf, wall cabinets and rangehood cabinets showing position of cooktop, range hood and mw the awful colours are due to limitations of my vintage program and your colour scheme is the best

Hi Susan , thanks for your reply and update . It sounds amazing !!! I too have ditched all marbel whatsoever in our home. In the end I chose all black cabinetry ( polytechnic black Wenge) it was slightly warmer and has a grain. My bench tops are all Caesar stone osprey , including the kitchen island , scullery and benchtops. I have a large window splash back that runs along the oven etc . but also quite a lot of walls which I have tiled in an offshore herringbone .The colour of all painted walls throughout solver white delight . We have concrete slate tiling and the white warms this space. It sounds as though we have headed in a similar direction ! We are at the stage of build where the cabinets are getting installed / I'll take a pic and send - I'd love to see yours also ! Here is a pic of a kitchen that has the same elements and colours that I chose .
