Don't suppose the roses are iceberg?, I can just see your dogs scaring the life out of the poor fish. My same farmer Friend had his roof spray painted on a similar period house to yours, and it was a perfect no problems, I think that there good and bad and ugly trades that do these roofs, I know a neighbour was not happy with the quality of his and had to be redone and then another managed to get a really dodging one going around doing roofs and driveways that were total rubbish. A good job removes and resets all the ridge line tiles repairs adjusts and replaces tiles where needed. and remember to keep too many people from walking around on your tiled roof as this can add to more cracked brittle tiles. Re painted down pipes I wouldn't worry at the moment, a house nearby has just had roof painted mid gray and walls rendered a very soft pale beige/sandstone colour. Windows doors eaves, barge boards, down pipes are all white and the gutter is the same as the roof colour, simple, it's hard to match paint colour with brick work so I think I would be going with unpainted white the same as the neighbours I just mentioned, they won't get scratched that way and your down pipes aren't terribly visible from the front. so relieved you don't want to spoil a great looking brick home with more render but is there a view from upstairs? when funds allow extending the deck/verandah across the front of the garage would add extra upstairs outdoor space and modify the look of the garage doors and consider painting garage doors and rendered wall in the darkest cement colour (greenish) grey with white eaves and fascias with black gutters and simply pressure wash the driveway to retain the natural concrete colour and add climbing plants to fall down the side of the retaining wall

Can you closely match the bricks ? That would be the first question I'd ask . Your house basically has two brick tones -- one is a redder orange , one is more orange . Personally , I'd try for the orange , brick would be great but if you can get a close match with colourbond ( or plasterboard and paint , but I suspect colourbond would be less hassles ? ) , colourbond would presumably be the cheaper option , although with any of them , if you don't match it too well , it will show -- even a 'new' look as opposed to aged will 'jar' until it fades and gets some age . Rather than your greeny grey garage door , I'd go white though . The other option would be to try and do the garage door the same as your roof , but that would need a pretty good painter who can do a decorative effect -- some swirls and different tones to reference the roof . Just one other thing -- the house and garden is really nice , but that natural timber front garden looks out of era and out of place to me -- do the wood charcoal the same as the fences , and it will blend in ; or white the same as your trim , to make it a feature . But at present it just detracts IMO .
