The next time I decorate by a colour of the year will be the first time. Don't hold your breath. I have nothing against this particular colour but it doesn't work with all the things I've collected over the years, and I am not about to discard carpets bought after hard bargaining with dubious merchants in Istanbul or Islamabad because they don't "go" with a paint colour that someone voted "colour of the year." In its place, I think the colour would be quite nice (better than this years choices, certainly). It's just that my place isn't the right place for it.

I like the idea of mirror as well, but it is glass and can cost around $900 to install professionally. A stainless still splash back for your cook top and acrylic sides can be more cost effective too. Another glass solutions is a picture of a unique stone, unique artwork or forest view that we can add to splash back glass, this would be a great visual as the position of your glass is so direct. This would also distract attention from above and your windows, it would be the wow factor of your kitchen, not that it needs to stand out it can also be subtle. Masters does offer this service but you need to request it from their kitchen specialist, it is a third of the price of real stone and slightly more expensive than glass. Oh. Heck this person is not being helped. I agree to not put such a shocking colour on such a huge surfaces, that turquoise would cost a lot of money on permanent fixtures. We need to choose something we can live with a long time and when we want to add vibrant colours choose something as an accessory, like saucepans, or display on shelves. This can be later changed. Have a look at displays or setting in say IKEA at least. Or Domo if there is one in your city. Interior space is what you see every day, every wake up moment and you can get quite sick of it with such a strong colour. Aim for sophistication, easy living. If you are not confident get some pro advice. It is cheaper in the long run.

If you mean some type of panelling which avoids grout, there are different types some of which have been around for a long time and some of which have only recently come into use for bathrooms. I'm interested to hear of people's experiences too. Obviously having no grout to scrub is a big advantage but tiles themselves cope well in a bathroom environment. I wonder how the various panel materials compare in terms of how they stand up to personal cleaning products, bathroom cleaning products, heat, sunlight.
