We think that all finishes come with their own unique advantages which will suit different people depending on what they are looking to achieve. But the clear winner for us would be the OSMO Hardwax Oils Tribbletrouble44152k7 Trek. Saying that, we were very interested to find out the opinion of everyone else in the Houzz Community.

You can use any type of mop as long as it's wrung out, not too wet, vacuum first. Found this info re steam mops & vinyl plank flooring that may be of interest... Vinyl plank flooring combines the durability of vinyl flooring with the appearance of hardwood planks. Unlike a solid vinyl floor, the narrow spaces between the planks make it vulnerable to damage from heat and moisture. Since a steam mop emits both heat and moisture, other cleaning methods may work better for your vinyl plank floor. Steam mops have the potential to damage vinyl plank floors. Steam and dripping water can seep between the planks and loosen the glue that holds them in place. The heat produced by the mop may also damage the vinyl, causing it to warp or bend. It may also dull the finish. Many flooring manufacturers will not honor the warranty on vinyl planks if they have been subjected to extreme heat, such as that produced by a steam mop. The best way to clean vinyl planking is to sweep daily and mop with warm, not hot, water using a slightly damp mop. A gentle cleaner such as vinegar added to the water may help remove stubborn spots or grime without leaving a sticky residue.

Hi Georgie Laminates are pretty ordinary... Essentially they are an mdf (medium density fibre board) with a print over the top and a wear coating over that. The focus of the advertising for these products is that the wear layer has so many years etc etc.... What they don't say is that MDF does not like water so every time you mop it the water gets into the joins and it swells right at the edges of each and every board..... just like the joins on those old orange/green benchtops from years ago... that is why 'hybrids' have been developed which instead of mdf use a blend of limestone and vinyl... to get a water proof finish... we don't have feedback on these yet to comment. personally, of the 3 you are looking at I would choose a good quality vinyl plank eg Karndean.. it's tough and will take a beating... I would recommend you do your research by going to a couple of different flooring outlets, hearing all the opinions/stories and then go with what you feel comfy long term and not what is on 'special'...
