Which is the more durable Kitchen benchtop?
Comments (7)I must say that I have had lots of different bench tops , at the moment it's a Caesar stone (which chipped after dropping a small plate) I still think that good old fashioned laminate is a good deal. It's cheap, doesn't chip you can put hot pots on it doesn't stain , I can stand on it to reach something or paint the ceiling etc. They told me not to even think about standing on Caesar stone it would crack, and that apparently goes for natural stone as well. If I have to renovate again it want be a stone of any kind although they look great....See MoreAny suggestions for what paving to use next to this spotted gum deck?

Comments (8)Hi I realise this post is a bit old but would say the kitchen splashback has 2 important functions to perform. 1. Needs to be heat resistant and comply with building code 2. Easy to clean and hygienic from the cooking splatters concrete is porous and needs to be sealed. For a concrete look I'd use a dekton or Neolith product which are available in slabs. Caesarstone have concrete looks but you need to check the clearance from gas burners as it's flammable. I think this would be a waste to use polished plaster for this application, but great for a feature wall. Best wishes...See MoreAny suggestions on Reno?
