What colour flyscreen frame?
Comments (9)Either of those should look fine. Personally, I rather think silver would be very edgy, esp if you were to place some tallish, silver-painted, plant pots (in a few diff heights) in groups along your verandah - and plant out with taller foliage plants....See Moretraditional home needs replacement of front door, windows and screens

Comments (15)No worries, Emma. I envy anyone who can picture an outcome from a 5x4cm colour swatch. I can’t. I need a bigger, more realistic visual clue. We’ve been through the same mind changes with selections too, including whether to render or not. We were fearful of creating lifelong work, fixing potential cracks in the render and repainting. In the end, we decided to leave it alone, and have an unassuming (or even deceptive) street look that makes everyone go ‘wow’ when they walk through the door because inside is not what they expected from the outside. We’ll see how the house dates in the years to come and re-visit the idea of rendering at that time. But like you, my main prob is the colour of the window frames. I’ve spray painted some internal frames. They look heaps better. Just gotta get motivated to do some more!...See MoreWhich type of screens do you have?

With so many options, it can be difficult to know which types of screens you should choose. Here’s a run-down of the different types of screens available at Bradnam's Windows and Doors. Insect screens are the lowest-cost screening solution available. Our insect screens can be made from fibreglass mesh or tougher aluminium mesh that sits in a slimline aluminium frame. Diamond Grill Safety screens combine the fibreglass mesh of insect screens with a powder-coated diamond grill, they are an ideal solution for second-storey windows. Security screens provide strength and durability, meet the Australian standard for security screens, including knife sheer, impact, anti-jemmy, pull, and probe tests.
