Finishing off the mirror bedroom — Side Tables & Lamps?
Comments (23)A guest bedroom should be inviting and relaxing but walking into a room with dbl. lge mirrors and seeing yourself twice on every occasion is not my idea of inviting. The chest is nice, how does that tone with the bedset? Could that be put on the wall opposite the curtains, add new crystal knobs and put a tiny chair offside with it and a small picture above with timber frame. How about a quilted beadhead in med. weight fabric to match the colour in the quilt (not navy) and do you need tables each side of bed? Don't know room size. Don't change things except for some plain cushions, some to match a small lamp. And please, no silver paint! :-( a quilted bedhead in...See MoreDining table near alfresco dining table dilemma
Comments (12)Hi Kez, I agree with you, finding the right table, chairs and accessories for a space is very important as it can be a costly and time consuming exercise. You mentioned in one of your earlier responses that you feel like you need to have someone come out and help organise the furniture in your home for you. We have the privilege of seeing a lot of homes of different shapes, sizes and styles and have been able to help clients restyle their homes, as well as reshuffle, restyle and reorganise their furniture to better help with the flow of the house. We also work with a large number of suppliers and can help you by taking the stress out of sourcing a suitable dining table and chairs for your dining area. I'm positive we will be able to find something very nice that will suit that space. If this is something that is of interest to you, please feel free to send us an email: info@letsrevamp.com.au or give me a call on (02) 4312 5634, I would love to see if I can help you further. Comments (21)I think it looks fantastic and you have good taste, I love the contrast between the light oak table / floor and the dark thonet chairs. The walnut colour of the chairs adds warmth and their shape compliments your artwork. Also because the backs are open and you can see through them they add a sense of spaciousness to the room whereas a fully upholstered chair will look heavy and visually make the room look smaller. Original Thonet chairs are a timeless classic and are valuable so I would hang onto them. I think the light is a little small for the space though so maybe a larger shade on the light would be worth considering as it would complete the look - such as a simple narrow drum shade which will not detract from the beautiful chairs....See MoreDilemma : Side wall or not for the external alfresco ?
Comments (7)I think I remember that question, the plan looks the same. Something about a half wall, whether the bbq was going to be built in and needed to back onto a wall, is there a nice view or privacy required from neighbours, I think there was a lengthy discussion. I'm not sure my thoughts have changed, and additional information is confusing, is the house now built, you have tiled the alfresco but the gas point is still to be installed?...See Morejuliahocking
