We have recently done a shaker style kitchen makeover for a client, it‘s in the album „Kitchen Renovations“ and from what i understand they are mostly solid wood for the cabinets.

Hi NW, You are referring to two elements, the Face Frame Carcasses (also called Pilaster Frame Carcasses) and then there is the Door Style, in this case a Shaker Style which you want sitting inside the face frame openings. To my knowledge there isn't anyone in Australia producing mass produced Face Frame Carcasses as Modules like in your link. When I started out in this industry, this traditional Face Frame construction was all we did but then today's Plant On Modular construction was introduced, with this being a far quicker construction method; taking over as the most common way to make kitchen cabinetry today. There are still some of us that will make this traditional Face Frame cabinetry on request for clients, but as Aus Joinery has advised, this type of custom made cabinetry construction is expensive.
