Help! Which windows should I choose?

Hi all

Just going through the final build design and deliberating on whether I should change the window openings on the top floor of a double story. The builder has recommended awning for essentially 3/4 to 1/2 wall height windows. The advantage is I can keep them open when it rains ( although I have generous eaves running all the way around.

My friend who is concurrent building, the builder has put casement windows all throughout the top floor so quite a different mindset/recommendation.

Im keen to maximise ventilation at night on warm days, and casement give the best air flow ( thats if they are positioned in the correct direction ).

I wonder what your thoughts are?

For downstairs, I have a mix of awnings, double hung and occasional slide window.

Thanks in advance
