Do you have a walk in patry? If so, maybe in there. But, then you'll have water drips/spots on the floor from the sink to the pantry. Otherwise, probably on a rail on the inside of the door under the sink. But, when you're cooking, bring it out and leave it on the bench so that you're not constantly opening and closing the door to dry your hands. I'm definitely interested to hear other people's suggestions! I really don't like water drips/spots on the floor or on the kitchen cabinets.

Hmmmm. Gumtree worked for my friends when they did the same. It was incredible, they listed a few bits of furniture and some fixtures, but there was a lot of interest and they ended up selling the entire kitchen, including appliances, windows and even the front door! Is it possible that you're asking too much for the items, especially if the buyer is responsible for removal and transport?

Like this? There are several sites you can check out. Some rails are hard-wired and some are plug-in. Different finishes. Not all have the hooks you refer to, but some very nice styles available. This is the only one with hooks that quickly popped up on initial search. Best wishes.

Ah, I wouldn't think so. Photo B is the external side of the chimney, which would have originally been outside the house (the external wall). So i'm guessing your living room was added onto the house at a later stage. So it was never designed to be a double sided fireplace, like some are. And yes, it is a structural part of the chimney. By the way, your bedroom fireplace is a beautiful original mantle, I wouldn't touch it.
