Excuse me dear creative geniuses.....I have a lounge room question.
Comments (23)Good Morning! Just thought i'd weigh in with my thoughts for you... I think that for the size of the room, you currently have too much furniture in it - in terms of seating. And the pictures don't quite show - but what is the relationship between the seating and the TV? Personally, I like a sofa and the arm chairs and would possibly consider losing one of the sofas. Pazz's suggestions are great and relevant. I would upsize the rug and purchase it in shades of blue/grey and bring out those colours in artwork and other soft furnishings such as cushions and lamp shades. Also change the orientation of the rug and coffee table to work with the room rather than fighting against it. I'm not a huge fan of wooden furniture pieces except if they are a highlight - If it was my room, i would paint the coffee table and the TV unit - there are plenty of paints on the market that don't require a massive amount of prep work - such as chalk paints. That would also soften the look. Overall - consider how you use the space currently and how that room interacts with the rest of your home as a whole. Good luck! Comments (16)Hi Adriana, your room is very nice (love your rug and coffee table). My only suggestion is that it does feels as though the room is overcrowded with too much of the SAME furniture ie. the grey, tufted pieces. Changing out your 2-seater for something in leather would really warm the space and add interest (I'd choose a brown tone to blend with your lovely buffet there) - I would also perhaps recover the ottoman in a different fabric, something you love that adds a touch more colour and your unique personality to the space. As you said you enjoy interior styling, and your flair for it shows already, I'm sure you can create a stunning room with just a few changes. Love to see pics of the final result!!...See MoreLaminate Flooring Manufacture & Installation in Canberra
Comments (0)Furnish your space with the look of real hardwood without stretching the budget. Laminate floors utilise cutting edge photographic technology to simulate the stain, graining, and texture of wood for a fraction of the price. Some other popular flooring options other than laminate flooring include vinyl flooring, bamboo flooring, cork flooring, hybrid flooring and timber flooring. With laminate flooring you can easily add a touch of style and sophistication to any space. Laminate is very durable and suited to most areas of the home, including living areas such as dining rooms, lounge rooms, hallways and bedrooms. What are the benefits of wood laminate flooring? Beyond the obvious visual appeal of wood laminate flooring, this increasingly popular multi-layer synthetic solution comes with many benefits: Laminate is easy to maintain and keep clean. We recommend using dry cleaning methods where possible, such as with a vacuum, broom, or laminate floor cleaner, to avoid exposing the floors to water damage. Unlike more traditional flooring products, such as timber floors, laminate planks contain a “wear layer” which adds an extra dimension of durability, making the product ultra-resistant to common blemishes and defects such as dents and scratches. For even greater peace of mind, consider adding a rug to protect high foot-traffic areas. Laminate flooring allows you to accurately simulate the appearance and texture of more expensive flooring products such as oak or Australian Species such as Blackbutt and Spotted Gum. It’s also available in a wide range of wood look styles and colours to suit any décor, including timber or wood look laminate. Popular colour variants include white (light), black (dark), mid and grey laminate flooring. The clicking and locking mechanism in contemporary laminate floor boards makes for a hassle-free installation process. It’s a relatively fast and easy flooring product to install, making it a great option for DIY fitouts. If you choose to engage a qualified builder, you can often get it installed for less than typical tile, bamboo, or hardwood flooring. Comments (4)Bedroom 4 is actually the home office. husband and i work from home. 2 kids are in bedroom 4 and 2 at the moment. just noticed that this image is not up-to-date as we closed access to bed4 from laundry and added a shower with laundry. i am considering adding a bedroom in the front, where lounge is at the moment. There's enough room for a bedroom with ensuite. And move lounge between that new bedroom and kitchen island. Not sure if theres enough room or where tv would go though.. Here's a draft i made with my limited computer skills. dimensions are not accurate in the edited image....See Morejulie herbert
