Any advice if I try to figure out some of this myself? I love your color scheme. How did you decide on that granite? I found this website too . Perhaps those cabinets are not available here but just where you are. either way I can find something similiar. Did you have any issues with ordering..getting parts.. assemely? Do you have any helpful tips for designing ? Did you actually hang them yourself? Is there anything about the cabinets that you find defective or insufficient or think could be better? I would custom build out the corner recess using a wall shelf box and then drop it down under the window all the way behind the door. Or alternatively box it out up until the window and then add in a slide out bedside for your guests to use if necessary. It would mean sitting the entire bed forward and inline with the current left bedside but it would add symmetry, storage and a new designer look. I don't think 2 bedsides are absolutely necessary and you could take away the left one just adding a pendant light as the back would now be a place to sit a glass of water or other must haves.

The only problem I see with placing plants anywhere near the steps, if leaves fall and are not cleared away, they will rot and become an eyesore as well as slippery if stepped on. Also it may reduce the space as the plant/s grow, as you use the steps. I think placing screens against the grey wall in a fancy pattern would look nice and is basically maintenance free. I would also paint the steps, maybe in the same shade as the screens, though I would leave the railing as it is closer to the window and you don't want to make it the feature.

the stairs are exactly the same as before, only my poor drawing, but reversing the stairs so you walk up from the dining area would mean that you could arrive upstairs in the hallway and allow the upstairs lounge to be made into another bedroom but i would'nt suggest changing the stairs unless there was a major benefit for such major expense but we still need more information...can you please explain how the toilet, basins, baths and showers fit in the bathrooms? and do you have any photos of the house both inside and out? what are the walls and floor built on built out of and please describe your climate
