Hi Steve, Did you have a question about which colours to use or a question about Duck Egg blue as an option you'd like to consider in your home? the info isn't clear. Please attach a photo so we can have s look at the rest of the colour and textures in the rooms.

Hi Louise, I did a little mock up for you. I would look at using some more greys and whites and brightening up the room. I mimicked your lamp and just "sprayed it gold" and changed the shade colours to draw your eye up to the artwork. I liked the bedding so played off that a little and added more textures and I love black, white, grey together, super chic and glam. It's amazing what a lick of paint can do. You would need to get permission to do anything to the woodwork, if you're a tenant its maybe best to leave it as is. I dont know what colours the other walls are but if theyre neutral enough you could leave them as is. Hope you like my attempt and happy to answer any q's. Thank you for the comments so far. I have been trying to load better pictures but keep struggling with the IT - managed to get them off the cloud but they were upside down. Flat paint on the columns would be similar to what we have achieved in the passage. And behind the table is my preferred site for the feature colour.

As said by big reader...leave white or paint the same colour, without the brushed finish, on the other walls. You can not bring another colour in. There is enough colour already with the orange wood and the bed cover. Also, the curtains look too small to pull right across your window correctly. They should be waved not flat when closed.
