The unsightly concrete tank of our waste water Envirocycle system needs a clever garden makeover. Any ideas? The tank inlets and pump house need regular access for maintenance.
A pot garden with the each pot on a dolly (wheeled platform from Bunnings or Aldi) for easy moving. Pots of herbs, flowers and fruit trees. And you could set up a timed watering system for easy management.
Plastic grass cut to fit. Just roll it up for access. Timber cover for box that doubles as a seat if it's no too tall. Or maybe a bright "tea cosy" cover for a bit of whimsy.
Hello Karen I would remove the existing plants around the periphery of the concrete block. I would then plant a hedge in a circle around the concrete that will hid the slab. Leave an opening for access. We have used this method for country clients and it makes a great feature of an ugly area. I would suggest one of the Lilly Pillies as a plant for consideration. An upright, narrow form either Syzygium or Acmena.
