Help with laundry/bathroom layout
Comments (4)also for safety having a back door is essential in case of fire etc. Make sure the door is an exterior grade one to keep "night visitors" out. I've seen laundries housed in cabinets...the firsts suggestion sounds nice but i haven't seen your floor plan layout. is that double laundry sink your bathroom vanity as well? maybe get the washer hardware happening inside (and preferably an under bench model for more bench space and an integrated look), and choose a farmhouse design sink. choose all white and grey tones. best of luck....See MoreKitchen Pantry laundry design help!!!!
Comments (4)subject to correct measurements my suggestion includes extending the kitchen into the old laundry and creates a new laundry next to the study with hallway access for a re-arranged bathroom but we need correct measurements to identify positions of existing toilet, taps and sinks to be more precise.Does the existing laundry have external access? do you want/need external access for a new laundry? do you want the kitchen to be open to the living and family rooms or would you prefer separate rooms? is the under stairs space already being used for walk through storage? what about access to the garage from the front entry?.....with correct internal wall measurements we could make more specific suggestions but your plans don't show or we can't see details of existing rooms...See MoreHelp, ideas, suggestion for kitchen & laundry
Comments (27)Thanks siruskey, I love this idea, I might use it for the future to creat a small ensuite for bed 1. I always thought about an ensuite but never knew how we could do it and with this you wouldn’t loose much at all from bed 2. I’ve been looking at the ideas from everyone and the space and I think changing the orientation to face the court yard with glass doors out that way and laundry/ toilet then along the back wall might be an idea. Like oklouise said a toilet off the kitchen isn’t great but without major construction elsewhere in the house it’s not possible and budget wise not an option now. My only issue with glass doors facing the court yard is we won’t get as much light in....See MoreNeed help with kitchen/laundry floor plan
Comments (8)Currently, the narrowest part of the family/living is 3.8 meters, plus 1.9 meters of laundry room. I'm planning to have the TV on the other side of the robe of bedroom 2, sofa in the middle and dining table near the sliding door. It's for a young family with 1-2 kids. Even with small changes everything needs to be redone including kitchen cabinets, plumbing, tiles etc. Is there a way to add an island ? Or incorporate the laundry with the kitchen, eg two sinks in the kitchen (one for kitchen and one for laundry) and hide the washing machine in the cabinets below the benches? I'd like to feel more open visually, however, cabinets space is precious too. Garage is 3.2 meters wide. The permeable paving area outside the garage is to park another car. Could the laundry be on the way?...See Morecmnaustralia
