Paving or exposed aggregate around our new pool?
Comments (6)The first photo is of the pavers we love, next to the already established honed concrete. Second photo of the house, the area we need to complete is currently covered in carpet. The third photo is of the paving sample sitting on top of an exposed aggregate concrete sample. We probably like this one the most out of all the exposed aggregate samples we looked at, but we are not totally into it. On the right side of the picture is the established honed concrete....See MoreNeed help with choosing outdoor furniture
Comments (25)After all we have decided give the north side of the fence with fresh coats of paint same colour as the rest of the fence for now and pulled off all the plant that were grown under the fence from next door neighbor's garden. On day we went pass outdoor furniture shop and saw this Outdoor dinning setting (expandable) made out of Eucalyptus also saw similar design on Houzz long time ago. We went with this easy maintenance and compact setting. I also planted couple of small plants including nandina at the front, Chinese star jasmines to cover the wall and an yellow and a red Mandevilla on the other side of the garden for some pop colour. Hopefully, the jasmine will grow and give some cover. Thank you all again for your input I appreciated...See MoreNeed help with small cross fit outdoor area
Comments (1)Recycled tyre flooring - that sounds great! Is that like the rubbery floor material in a kids playground? Very envious of your project....See MoreWhat to do with the space next to the alfresco area?
Comments (13)Be a bit careful before replacing the outdoor furniture with expensive items - thieves often have a first go, then come back a few weeks later knowing that they'll get another haul with this second haul being new! (low lives!). Think about putting up security signage as a deterrent- unfortunately house showings are prime time for thieves to scope out a home. If potential buyers ask about security your agents says "I'm not sure, there's signage...". I'd go shopping for second hand table and chairs that you can fix up cheaply (a coat of paint/stain is easy) or even some el cheapo trestles from the local hardware store and then jazz it up with coloured runners/placemats and outdoor plates/glasses when you're doing your open house - the buyers need a narration that they can insert themselves into easily - remembering that a lot of home buys have 30 minutes allocated to see your property and that's not enough time for them to be "creatively visioning their life in your home". I'd also put some large pots with seasonal colour and invest in some LED curtain lighting on hooks that they see can be put up/pulled down (for Christmas/parties) - it'll give buyers a lifestyle image in which they can see themselves entertaining family and friends. If you can borrow an outdoor umbrella for the seating area and some outdoor beanbags for by the pool you'll be on a winner that you can easily pack up and not have spent a fortune on....See MoreKate
