Comments (18)We are doing serious renovations at the moment on 2 properties and I cant tell you how expensive this is to replicate (actually I can as I have the quotes).... You are ahead already with this in place. As others said soften it with trellis, perhaps get a concrete cutter in to cut a few strategic holes in the concrete near the posts but not too near as these have been concreted in to secure the posts. Plant it with something evergreen, non deciduous, easy care. It will be amazing and such a feature for on selling. Fab!!...See MoreNeed Help in getting carport quote

Comments (3)For the car port I would keep it simple and open. Use a skillion colorbond roof attached to the house and timber support posts. Do you want to continue with the Tuscan theme? If so I think either go a whitish colour or a darker charcoal colour for the windows and doors. If you intend to paint the exterior walls then you open a whole other world! The front fence would look amazing out of sandstone if that is in your budget, otherwise what about a stackable stone finish which you could glue into a Hebel wall?...See MoreGarage/carport.....renovate?
Comments (25)Definantely keep the old garage, it's been there much too long to be considered illegal, your neighbour would also love the privacy it provides to both of you, we have a similar one next to our pool, we love it. Agree some gardening and clearing away some old bits and pieces. Just attaching a couple more photos, don't throw the plants away just repurpose them. the first photo is of a builders house, he used the existing garage as a games room with added pergola over original driveway, a second carport is off to the left looks brilliant (they get quite a lot of sun on this side). The next two are before and after shots of a mid centuary house similar to your's, the last photo is of our current house, flat roof garage is hiding solar panels, we have changed the colour pink to a more original one, grey green....See MoreBrant Raven
