Comments (2)Hi, here is the post with all the changes. The washing machine ended up in the bathroom in the end. http://houzz.com/discussions/2830761...See MoreSmall kitchen/dinning layout ideas
Comments (9)If you do want to put the doors in where the oven is can you not just flip the L shape? So you have a breakfast bar running between the kitchen and dining? Might make your dining much smaller but you'll have the added eating space at the bench. Alternatively, take out the living room wall (to the hallway), close off the doorway into the kitchen and have a galley style kitchen (that's a much bigger job!). Tricky one! Comments (16)my 8 seater table with chairs fits in 3300 x 2400 with the chairs pulled away from the table...Without walls closing in your dining room on two sides there should be enough space for your table and for someone to squeeze around to go to the bathroom but if you have 8 adults for meals regularly it might be necessary to consider a "bay window" style mini extension and rotate the table to extend out over the deck area with sliding doors and side windows it would have a conservatory feel with an overhead beam at the join and sloping ceiling in the extra space there would be no need to attempt to continue the original ceilings...See MoreKitchen Layout Advice
Comments (7)I would prefer to have the pantry and fridge close to each other so that you’re not trekking from one to the other when taking food out to prepare. Then have all of them near the prep area and sink. Bins/compost bin close to sink for disposing if food scraps when making food and scraping plates after eating. Keep ovens and cooktop close to each other. And you need adequate space beside the sink for stacking dirty dishes and draining dry ones (even with a dishwasher) and space beside the cooktop. Minimum of 30cm bit more is preferable. Good luck. Exciting time....See MoreC P
