scullery and Island bench

I am a train wreck when it comes to cooking, so we have incorporated a scullery - 4.7 x 2.7 m, that sits just behind the wall where the ovens , fridge will be and with a 3 x 1.5 (width has been upgraded to 1.5 m ) island bench in front of that with a induction cook top and a sink The quandary is I have a spectacular ocean view and so cooking facing that is going to be awesome, however I am greatly concerned with the mess... I am thinking that the prep work (Mess) can be done in the scullery and the cooking on the island bench but I am not sure how this is going to look, any advice would be great.
