Living Room Design Dilemma Home Decorating

Hi guys. So, we have recently bought a corner sectional sofa for our new home. We also bought at 75 inch tv that we would like to hang on the red accent wall.
How would you place the 3m x 3m corner lounge in the living room? We also have the ottoman as shown in the picture. Eventually we may get more furnitures sometime in the furniture.

You have a large, gorgeous room. With such a huge room you don't need to push furntiure against the wall. I would place the 3m x 3m corner lounge with the back facing towards the two step downs, probably about 1 metre from the lowest riser. When sitting on the corner lounge the focus is outward towards the three windows at the front and the red wall with the TV.

Thanks for your reply . We are very happy for our home and can’t wait to move in. At the moment, it’s just an empty shell and we will buy furniture piece by piece to fill up the house slowly.x

I have been learning a lot about home decor and furniture arrangement from the internet lately!

Can you comment on my floor plan in the picture? Is this how you would put the corner lounge in the living room?

Where is the French window? Do you mean the normal window? Does it open completely with hinges, or have sliders, or is it fixed? If it opens completely, then a single chair allowing for outside access would be wonderful. If it is fixed, then it will still look good. I find chaise lounges are awkward when having guests. Because someone will have to sit with their feet out in front of them, almost lying down. And this can be a bit embarrassing. I would keep with a normal three seater lounge and single chairs.

Layout will depend on size of furniture number of seats. Location of windows and doors and walkways and whether you want a tv or other focal point on walls. Can you post a plan and provide more info. Otherwise check out photos here and on Pinterest

If your tv is 65” then the lounge is way too close to television. Place lounge as per my diagram. Two lounges in L shape plus single chair. If you remove the small wall then dining table can be across room. But it may be load bearing, so unable to be removed.

No, I would mirror image it so you are looking out the window, rather than looking internally when sitting on the couch. By having the back of the couch towards the two doorways gives more definition to the seating area.
