Hi Aleta1, youre getting down to the nitty gritty of Interior Design now. Choosing the perfect colour involves addressing many issues...size of your windows, orientation of the house, height of ceilings, size of rooms, purpose for room to name a few. If you have the time I recommend getting a sample pot of full and half strength and try it in a couple of corners of each room. That way you can see how the colour looks at different angles. The room looks lovely. The rug is too light in fabric weight - it could be dangerous if someone caught their toe under it. And as mentioned by others - you need some colour. I know that it is advised by some people that a mat should go under the furniture, however, that is not always possible.

Hi Kieren, a rich, cool sand colour might work. Avoid yellow undertones. I think you’re right to stay away from anything too dark. Or try a pale beige textured rug. Added bonus, it’d be easy to find. A rug that mixes something similar to your couches with a LITTLE bit of green and maybe a bit of blue could also look nice. Accent the room in mid blue too, maybe? Stay in proportion to the room, but go bigger rather than smaller with the rug. Rug retailers will usually lend you a rug so you can try before you buy, which can be useful and some will bring samples to your door. Good luck

Hi this is a Reno. We want to make our 2nd bathroom into ensuite and WIR for the master which is on the right of bathroom....a sliding wardrobe is on shared wall of bathroom bedroom. Room to left of bathroom is 2nd bedroom. Currently bathroom door faces lounge room. We want to use entry area to these 3 rooms where the void space is to make this happen. Our master bedroom door would then be on current right wall of room on entry where well have a foyer/mudroom. Hubby is great builder but neither of us great on design. Helpful suggestions would help get us moving. Thanks in advance.
