We are leaning towards Whian Whian Blackbutt for our solid timber floors throughout our new home. However we have just been informed we can’t have the stairs in this same timber. The closest match is coastal blackbutt which they can do in stairs. It is slightly darker.
What should we do?
A) Switch all our floors to coastal blackbutt so everything is the same?
B) Go ahead with the Whian Whian floors and just have the stairs a little darker in the coastal blackbutt variety?
C) Or should we choose a completely different timber for the stairs so it doesn’t look like we are trying to match it up? And if so, what do you suggest?
