Hi, get rid of your top loader and existing tub, get a front loader, run the benchtops all the way along wall to wall, add some cabinetry under the bench, if you like place your dryer on the wall or put the washing machine under the dryer in a tower left of window then run the tops all the way across with sink and cabinets. Looks messy, difficult and expensive. I don't know if you will have enough fall in the sewer pipe. I would suggest you get a sewer plan by contacting your local water authority, and perhaps a second opinion once you have this information. Hi I have a large bathroom with a closet for washer and dryer. I love it. Off my bedroom. But also have you thought about making study into bedroom with an en-suite and the laundry tucked in there behind doors. If your selling a bedroom downstairs for an older person its very attractive and nice to be separate from the others. Then the two bedrooms upstairs have there own bathroom. Also you are having toilet tucked under staircase for visitors. If you had heaps of space then yes have a separate laundry but it’s a waste of space when you haven’t. I have my laundry essentials in a cupboard under my bathroom vanity which is 1800 cm long and still have two 1m drawers next to cupboard.

As mentioned by Kate and jo wst, a single door with glass panels might be ok, with a side window. But, I still think that if your clothes line is not on that side of the house, it is probably quicker to walk through to other exit. In my previous house, that was the case. And with the boundary fence, only giving a small walk way along the home, then it would be more comfortable to walk through the home. As previously posted. I had this exact scenario in my previous home. Never actually used the sliding door on a regular basis.
