Is a bath necessary in a small bathroom?
Comments (63)I have a shower over bath combo' which its plastic resin something? It's a old bungalow and pitifully small. The amount of times I have nearly slipped over getting out, or lost my balance with soap in my eyes/ or after having a glass of wine. hate hate it. I did see a shower room with a additional hand held device and a over head shower. I thought that good for the odd squirt your feet down. The next owners will probably rip it all out and start again any way when design ideas change....See MoreBathroom layout
Comments (5)minor variation to dimensions allow for wider vanities, more space in the toilet and if you have the choice, the toilet reversed is more private (add sound insulation, ventilation for the toilet and a solar skylight for the vanity area will make the rooms more pleasant to be in and 60cm deep base cabinets have more counter space for the girls to spread out, storage under for towels and linen with matching mirror doored medicine cabinet for everything else...See MoreBefore and after of a walk-in shower
Comments (29)My walk in was well over a metre deep and width was a couple of metres to the wall. The glass screen was a metre and a bit so there was no splashing into the room. The shower came off the end wall same as the pic however it was one of those variable height showers on a rod, I have no doubt the shower in the pic will be splashing into the room which would drive me nuts. Mine looked great, so open, neat, big, except the floor hadn't been layed properly so instead of the water going toward the drain under the shower head it went all over the bathroom, nearly 3 metres out right down to the loo creating a massive puddle in front of the vanity as well. Getting it sorted with the builder was nightmare I eventually gave up and ended up having a low barrier installed from glass to wall. It still looked fine and stopped the problem but one really has to ensure the floor angle is done properly before embarking on the walk-in shower exercise....See MoreBathroom reno done! Comments (6)We deliberately used a different tile to add interest and to contrast with the white bathtub. It really makes the bath and white shelving stand out much better than white against white. To reduce the number of different materials used, however, we matched the grey floor tile on those walls and also in the shower niche, only switching from matt floor tiles to matching Lappato tiles....See MoreAdam Scougall Design
