What room is your home missing most?
Comments (43)I'm taking my bed out of my double bedroom to change into a library, otherwise I would say library. But, for me, it's down to basics: I need a kitchen and laundry! My house was a holiday cottage and to call the kitchen corner a kitchen is a far cry from the reality. I can't even stretch my arms out yet I have to cram my washing machine in there, too. Comments (22)I have had one for a year up on the mid coast of NSW. What I found was that because of the clean burn effect the air flow leaver only closes partly shut so that it burns wood at a greater rate when closed. I had another 6mm machined out of the slot that is part of the handle dampener plate. This has made a lot of difference as in the wood burns a lot slower also and lasts overnight, so i will use only half the amount I went through last winter and keep the heat in the unit. Comments (10)My rough scratch , I think there's wasted space in the Master ensuite/WIR, by moving that along allows more space for the WIP/Laundry/Powder Room. I think you really need to consider a separate toilet as the others aren't very convenient. Move Fridge oven cook top. You mention a family of five so I think a study computer space with storage would be ideal to keep an eye on the kids while you are preparing meals, it also gives more room in the family area etc. A rear entrance via the laundry/WIP for easy acces from the car under the covered breezeway? I have also extended the wall into the Master for more privacy, I would even consider sliding panels to close the bed off from the entrance. cheers...See MoreMissing brickwork over sliding door
Comments (17)One course is one layer of bricks. Yes, I counted 29 as well. I have attached photos of the finished sliding door. Our home is double brick throughout. With acrylic render. But, is still 28 course (bricks) to top of sliding door, with 31 course (bricks) ceiling level. You can see in photo, that the space above sliding door is equivalent to 3 more layers of bricks. Taking into account the finished ceiling....See Morejulie herbert
