Lovely print. I had a peacock feather print and I had a colour called glacier Grey behind. Think it was Wattyl . Again like your other walls it is a greenish grey but darker. I also had my prints on a charcoal wall..loved that too. As you said the picture ties in with the chairs and now it's not necessary to add more matching colours. I'd buy a couple of sample pots and paint large pieces of cardboard. With the other walls I would consider painting them in whisper white (Dulux) a very universal colour that ties in nicely with all colours.

Hi Maria, we love the wood but it is a little overwhelming in that space with the timber floor. A liming white is a great idea as mentioned by a few people here. This will let you have the best of both worlds, a lighter, brighter finish while still allowing the wood grain to show through. You could try Feast Watson Liming White Floor Finish (yes, it's not a floor but it has the size of a floor!) and build up the number of coats until you are happy with the amount of timber grain showing through. You'll probably need to give it a light sand first as it's most likely already got some type of coating on it. The other option would be to leave the walls as is and consider a large, light neutral coloured rug as pompom suggested on the timber floor and perhaps a good sized piece of art on the wall or white wall shelving instead of the dark side unit you have to reduce the amount of timber in the room.

Hi Ron, I think that's a great selection and I believe will work well together. The black and white of the stone/tile has a nice minimalist feel, and a wooden look vanity will offset that with some warmth. Definitely recommend that, well done :-) I've attached a pic of a similar approach we've designed recently - timber veneer vanity with black marble tile with white solid surface sink, has a similar feel. Now with the timber you have to make sure that - if it is veneer (i.e. actual timber) it has a good protective coat (you could go for a 2pack finish or similar), and if it is a timber-look-laminate, make sure to double-check with the supplier it is suitable for bathroom application. I wouldn't recommend using veneer for the top surface, but you could use a suitable laminate, or you could even go for a solid timber bench top if you don't want to do stone. If it was me, I would just do the vertical surfaces in wood, and the bench top differently :-) Anyway, good luck with it all ! Marc.

Hi Louise, I did a little mock up for you. I would look at using some more greys and whites and brightening up the room. I mimicked your lamp and just "sprayed it gold" and changed the shade colours to draw your eye up to the artwork. I liked the bedding so played off that a little and added more textures and I love black, white, grey together, super chic and glam. It's amazing what a lick of paint can do. You would need to get permission to do anything to the woodwork, if you're a tenant its maybe best to leave it as is. I dont know what colours the other walls are but if theyre neutral enough you could leave them as is. Hope you like my attempt and happy to answer any q's.
