I am having a timber cabinet with drawers built into my 1700 x 2700 ensuite. Due to lack of space, I am installing one basin and wonder whether to install it in the centre or off to one side. Comments? Thanks.
Thanks for your quick response. Opposite the cupboard/basin is a shower and a toilet. A door is in the third wall. I was thinking of a white basin sitting on top of the wooden cupboard. If I place the basin on one side it will be near the door on the other near the wall.
are you asking about the location of the vanity in the room or the location of the sink on top of the new cabinet? your dilemma and description of the room is not clear...can you post a floorplan or photos of the room?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><md>Don’t put basin against a wall. It needs some elbow room. if doing a 750 vanity and it has floor space to one side then offset to that side can look nice and balance the vanity, but need a floor plan Bigger than that I would prefer centre as two people can stand either side, his and her (her and her, he and he etc ) sides for counter space
You will need to think about the basin pipe and how that will work inside the cabinet. You mentioned that you have drawers. If you can place the basin above a cupboard rather than the drawers you will not have to change the internal carcass of the drawers.
